I take great care of my face, but tend to neglect the rest of my body. I apply sunscreen when I go to the beach or to the pool for the day, but in general, I never moisturize. My feet are really dry this summer, but I don’t put lotion on them like I should. Sometime I just get too lazy and think that I’ll just do it the next day.

Skin Deep Moisture with Ellovi

I have noticed over the years that if I don’t make something a part of my consistent routine, then I hardly ever do it. That includes moisturizing my skin; putting lotion on my legs and arms. As I am getting older I am noticing that my skin continues to get dryer and dryer.

I have started moisturizing at night after I get out of the shower. This way my body stays moisturized through the night and into the next day. Mornings are busy, so doing it at night guarantees that it gets done!

Cleansing the Body and Soul with Kaeng Raeng

While at Expo West in March, I was able to meet up with a company called Kaeng Raeng. Their focus is to be naturally healthy on both the inside and outside. They offer a detox cleanse as well as beauty products, along with a fiber supplement and a Green Energy Superfood drink powder.

I was given the opportunity to try out their beauty line which includes a body scrub, face mask, and serum. All of their products are cruelty free, gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, and made in the USA.

Natural bath and body products fascinate me. I love when companies find new and unique ingredients to create all natural products. Rain has created a line of products made with ingredients with African origins. Their line consists of handmade products that are carefully crafted, and sustainably made.

First, I have to say that I love the design and layout of Rain’s website. The natural tones emphasize the companies commitment to natural products. They have a range of collections that specialize in specific areas for the body and with different purposes.

Curling my Hair with Ease with the Xtava Auto Rotating Curling Iron

Most mornings I don’t take the time to do my hair. My routine includes getting myself and my kids out the door by 7:30 with lunches made, jackets on, and backpacks ready. This normally doesn’t leave me with much time to do more than throw my hair in a ponytail.

However, now I found the perfect curling iron to give my hair a makeover. Xtava has designed an auto rotating curling iron, which makes curling my hair a quick and easy project. The barrel is made of ceramic and features and bi-directioanl rotating control. All you have to do is clip your hair in the barrel and click with direction you want your hair to curl. The curling iron will swivel 360 degrees.

It also comes with a guide that helps you determine how best to style your hair type. For fine hair, use low temperature for best results. Thick and wavy hair will require a higher temperature. Get a Natural Seal on your Cuts and Scrapes

I hate when I get a cut on my hand in-between my fingers or on my foot in-between my toes. These places are not the easiest spots to cover with a bandage. Hangnails are another spot that are hard to cover with a bandage, especially with my kids.

Keeping my Hair Clean with Argan Oil

My hair gets temperamental sometimes and starts acting up when I have been using the same shampoo and conditioner for too long. For some reason, a shampoo and conditioner that have been giving my hair great volume and shine for a few months, may then start giving me oily flat hair. The solution: switch up my shampoo and conditioner every month.

The newest brand I have tried is Pura D’or. Their products all have an organic argan oil base. Pura D’or products are made with at least 95% organic ingredients that are certified by the USDA, CCOF, Soil Association Organic or Canada Organic Regime. Their product line includes hair products as well as nail, skin, and face products.

Argan Oil has many benefits. It adds elasticity to skin, resulting in fewer wrinkles and a more youthful appearance. For hair, argan oil adds moisture and helps reduce fizz.

Benefits of Using Xylitol + a Toothpaste Recipe

I recently discovered the presence of Xylitol in more natural products. I decided to to try it out to see what it tasted like and to see if I could use it to make my own toothpaste.

is all natural and made of hardwood birch trees in the USA, not from corncobs. It looks and tastes like sugar and replaces sugar equally in recipes. One thing I appreciate and love is that there is no aftertaste. Xylitol has 40% fewer calories than table sugar and 75% fewer carbohydrates. Xylitol is recommended for diabetics and weight conscious individuals because of its low glycemic index. Xylitol is also linked to reducing the risk of tooth decay which is why it is found in natural and DIY toothpastes. Morning Pep’s Xylitol is Kosher and free of GMOs, corn, wheat, gluten, soy, and dairy.

Naturally Clean your Hands and Body with EarthCure

If you follow my blog you know how much I LOVE bar soap! However in our tiny bathroom with a pedestal sink, there really isn’t a great place for a bar of soap. I am very particular about what soap I use in my home. I have been a fan of Redmond Trading for a while, when I was first introduced to their Earthpaste.

Redmond’s newest product, EarthCure, is an All Natural Hand and Body Soap line. With three available scents: citrus, peppermint, and lavender, you will find the right scent for you. All three soaps are made of a natural liquid glycerin soap made from distilled water, coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable glycerin, castor oil, jojoba oil, and essential oils. The Citrus is made with lemon and lemongrass essential oils. The Peppermint is made with both peppermint and spearmint essential oils. The Lavender is made with lavender essential oil.
