Bring Nature into Your Bathroom with Rain

Product was given to me in order to post my honest opinion.

600806_10150968144279424_1651642397_nNatural bath and body products fascinate me. I love when companies find new and unique ingredients to create all natural products. Rain has created a line of products made with ingredients with African origins. Their line consists of handmade products that are carefully crafted, and sustainably made.

First, I have to say that I love the design and layout of Rain’s website. The natural tones emphasize the companies commitment to natural products. They have a range of collections that specialize in specific areas for the body and with different purposes.

Recycling: Small Steps, Big Impact

This post may contain sponsored content.

With consumption skyrocketing in the developing world and a rapidly increasing global human population, it is time for a wake-up call regarding consumption and conservation. The average American household produces over 11.43 lbs. of waste every day. While this may not seem like very much by itself, this is equivalent to 4,172 lbs. annually- approximately the weight of an adult white rhino. Altogether, American households produce over 251 million tons of waste annually. While this number is staggering, keep in mind that this is just household, office, and retail waste. When combined with industrial waste, this number becomes much higher.

The time is now to make a change to the way we think about recycling. Every year, 135 million tons of MSW (municipal solid waste) ends up in American landfills. The majority of this waste (approximately 75%) is comprised of paper, plastic, glass, and metal that could otherwise have been recycled. A more vigilant attitude regarding recycling could make a huge difference. For example, if every American merely doubled the amount that they recycle- a feat that could be easily achieved with little effort, 71 million additional tons per year would be recycled instead of sent to the landfill. If we work together and put forth the effort, we can make a huge positive impact on our communities as well as our planet.

Eating Naturally with NOW Organic Foods

Product was given to me in order to post my honest opinion.

Over the years, I have introduced more and more natural foods and products into my family’s diet. I have enjoyed trying new recipes and experimenting with new ingredients. NOW Foods is a great company to look into if you are looking for a more natural lifestyle. They have a large line of all-natural foods and products.

267744_10151146145363214_576498567_nI am familiar with some of the products produced by NOW Foods, but I didn’t realize how large their product line was. For this review I was given the opportunity to try some of their newer products including both coconut flour and sugar, teas, and quinoa.
