Did you read Part 1 of my skincare routine, including my morning and evening routine? Now I am going to share about my mask and scrub routine with JLU Skincare products. In case you didn’t read my first post here is some info on the company.

 

 

JLU Skincare is a skincare line that is made with natural and organic ingredients. Also, they are cruelty free, paraben free, petroleum free, phthalate free, with natural scents and colors. Most of these products do contain Phenoxyethanol which a preservative and rated a 4 on the EWG SKindeep Database. It will keep the products from producing mold. Also, most of these products contain retinyl palmitate, which is an 8 on the EWG Skindeep Database. It is a derivative of Retinol, both are derived from Vitamin A. It is used to increase cell turnover which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These are the numbers, so decide whether or not you want to purchase products containing these ingredients.

 

JLU Skincare offers a variety of products including moisturizers, masks, serums, a toner, a moisturizer, and an eye cream. I was sent some full size products as well as samples of the rest of the line. I been using these products in both my morning and evening routines, as well as a mask and facial scrub routine.

 

I wash my face before using a scrub or mask, with the Orange & Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser. You only need a pea size amount to cleanse your entire face. I have learned to lather the cleanser in my hands till their are suds, then I rub it on my face. I have to keep it away from my eyes or it burns a little.

 

Then for my mask routine I follow with the Ocean Seaweed Hydrating Mask. This creamy mask is fortified with seaweed, Vitamin E and Vitamin A to nourish and hydrate the skin. To use, apply it the face and neck and allow the mask to dry for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

 

For my scrub routine, after I wash my face I use the French Clay Micro Scrub. This exfoliating scrub clears and detoxes clogged pores. The clays draw out impurities and the micro-fine pumice gently exfoliates, leaving your face renewed and luminous. To use, apply it the face and neck and allow the mask to dry for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

 

Following the scrub & mask routine I use the Herbal Infusion Age Rewind Serum. This serum resurfaces the face while moisturizing and firming. Whenever my face feels dry, I apply a serum to keep it ultra moisturized.

 

Following the serum, I apply the Ultra-Conditioning Aloe & Olive Moisturizer. This moisturizer leaves my skin feeling soft. It contains aloe and is infused with Olive and Jojoba oils.
