My munchkins had their first day of school last week! I put daddy in charge of the camera and so we ended up with over 30 photos! If you know Ryan you are not surprised by this! Here are some of the pictures…I just love them all!
So glad that my kids are loving preschool!

Last month, my kids and I were invited to a special screening of Oogieloves The Big Balloon Adventure and a special meeting with Kenn Viselman, the creator of Ooglieloves. This movie is one of a kind! It encourages kids to get up an move…yes….get up and move in the theater!!! My kids loved it! There are prompts on the screen that tell the kids when to get up and when to sit down. My daughter loved dancing around and moving, but my son was more reserved, he just wanted to sit and watch the movie. We had a great, fun-filled day which started with breakfast, and the kids got to do a craft. Then the kids got to go to Camp Oogieloves, while mommy bloggers got to talk with Kenn. It was a fun meeting where we got to see Kenn’s vision for children’s entertainment. His theory is that children are watching TV and movies, so why not make them interactive as well as educational. The Oogieloves hits the theater tomorrow, August 28th.

I made pasta for dinner last night, but with the summer heat, hot pasta is not as appetizing! Instead I cool the pasta off and serve it cold or lukewarm with just a couple ingredients from the garden.
I used home grown tomatoes and basil! This meal is so simple to make and tastes great with just a little bit of salt and olive oil! I used Bari Basil infused olive oil, which gave it extra flavor! Enjoy!
