EcoZoom provides highly efficient, durable clean cookstoves.  They believe “that people of any economic status should have access to beautifully designed cooking products that will improve their health, income, and environment.”  The EcoZoom’s Versa Lite Stove is perfect for any catastrophe because it can burn wood, dried biomass or charcoal.  I think this would be great to have on hand as well as to use whenever you want to cook something outdoors.

Enter on the rafflecopter form below for your chance to win. Open to US residents in the continental 48 states. The giveaway will end 12/31.

I’m skeptically aware of the solar superstorm that’s set to occur this winter. My father seems to believe it’ll set off a new dark age, what with all the power outages it’s supposed to set off, but I’m … cautiously skeptical.

I would like to think no that nothing like that could happen, but anything is possible!

I think a series of solar interferences could occur faster than we can maintain our utilities especially if any other type of disaster occurs at the same time. It may not be life threatening but it will probably be an eye opener.

We worry about hurricanes and tornadoes knocking out power. Not likely, but it can happen and we like to be prepared.

I don’t think there’s something like ALL power & technology coming up, but I can definitely be worried about an economic collapse putting power and most technology beyond a lot of people’s reach.
