It is essential that we protect our children from harmful contaminants by creating healthy environments where they can grow, thrive, and flourish.
My kids are just about to start preschool at the end of the month. I started my son this last February and ironically, the whole family got sick right after that. Since then I have been giving my children more vitamins in order to keep their bodies healthy. They do eat a lot of veggies, but I figure that giving them natural vitamins can’t hurt! I choose to give my kids vitamins that are natural and free of dyes and artificial flavors.
Nordic Naturals is a company who’s vitamins I trust and give to my kids! They have quality ingredients and my kids like them! It is very important to me that my children live healthy lifestyles, this includes the foods they eat and the products they are exposed to.
In order to eliminate toxins in my home, I use only natural and organic cleaners for all my cleaning! I try not to use anything with fragrance oils, only essential oils. I make sure that all the products we use on our bodies are free of parabans, fragrance oils, and other harmful chemicals. This includes lotion, sunscreen, shampoo, bubble bath, body wash and soap. I also choose to buy organic produce, which keeps pesticides out of our home and out of our bodies!
One company that I truly appreciate is Healthy Child Healthy World. They are an organization that promotes healthy living and provides resources for parents. They provide recipes for healthy eating as well as a list of companies that sell non-toxic items for your home that are good for you and are environmentally safe. They also have a blog on their site that covers many subjects from food to news to sustainability & lifestyle.
