Moody Sisters Skincare

I love supporting small businesses. I especially love buying handmade products! Moody Sisters has a wonderful line of handmade skincare products for every skin need. Even better, each product is made with natural ingredients and doesn’t contain any chemicals. No matter what mood your skin is in, Moody Sisters has the products to help!

Moody Sisters Handmade Skincare Products

Moody Sister’s is a mom owned company. Two moms, sisters actually, from Washington decided to take their home remedy recipes and turn them into a business. Every product has been created from a family member’s need.

Older sister Jess had resigned herself to a life of acne and rosacea, deciding it would be better to live as a hermit than to pay such exorbitant prices for skincare.  Younger sister Whitney had worked as a beauty skincare consultant for five years, but still found few products that wouldn’t flare up her eczema or cause a severe allergic reaction with her sensitive skin.  After hundreds of dollars spent on doctor’s visits and harsh chemicals that failed to calm their skin woes, the sisters had had enough!  They turned to nature for their remedy.

After perfecting their recipes, the sister’s went into business. They make their products in small batches in their kitchen. Since their products are paraben and chemical free, even the youngest member of your family can use them.

I was sent their Dry Skin Hand Cream and Powder Deodorant to try out.

Moody Sisters Handmade Skincare Products

The Dry Skin Hand Cream is perfect for my hands at night. I use the cream right before I go to bed; I actually turn the light off, use the light of my phone to get the cream out, and apply it to my hands and arms in the dark. I don’t touch anything else and let the cream soak in as I sleep. My hands have been feeling so soft since I have been doing this. I forget to moisturize my hands most mornings, but by using the cream at night, I see results during the day.

The Dry Skin Hand Cream can treat a variety of things depending on the scent you choose: Eczema (Unscented), Baby Diaper Rash (Calming Lavender), Chapped Winter Skin (Vanilla Orange), Cracked Heels (Rosemary Mint), and Stretch Marks on Pregnant Bellies (Vanilla Orange). I was sent the Vanilla Orange and I love the way it smells! My hands are super soft and I have sweet dreams! The ingredients consist of an Oil Blend (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil), *Cocoa Butter, *Aloe Juice, Beeswax, *Green Tea Extract, Vitamin E, Oats Extract, Essential Oils (* denotes organic).

The Powder Deodorant is aluminum free, and not an antiperspirant. You will still sweat but the essential oils and other natural ingredients help neutralize the bacteria that cause body odor, keeping you dry and smelling great. My Rosemary Mint deodorant has a strong scent, which masks any smell by body tries to create. Somedays I reapply, because I think I my pits are getting a little smelly. The great thing is that if you are sweating, the powder will make you dry again. The rosemary and mint makes my armpits tingle for the first couple of minutes after I apply, but then the feeling goes away.

The powder comes with a powder puff applicator for easy application. The ingredients consist of *GMO Free & Gluten Free Cornstarch, *Arrowroot Powder, Baking Soda, Lemon Peel Powder, Powdered *Witch Hazel, Essential Oils (* denotes organic). You can see that these simple ingredients work to combat odor in a natural way.

You can buy these products on their online store. The Dry Skin Hand Cream is $18.95 for 4 oz and also comes in a 1 oz size. It comes in 4 scents: Unscented, Vanilla Orange, Rosemary Mint, and Calming Lavender. The Powder Deodorant is $17.50 for a 6 oz jar with powder puff applicator and $11.50 for a refill kit. It comes in 4 scents: Unscented, Pink Grapefruit, Vanilla Orange, and Rosemary Mint. There is a flat rate shipping of $4.95 on every order.

    Brittney,
The Moody Sisters Handmade Skincare looks like it is really a great product. I would definitely use the Unscented Eczema cream. I’ve been using commercial lotions with little results. I’ll have to try this to see what an impact it will have on my skin. Thank you for an informative useful post.
