Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I try to drink a protein smoothie every morning. I enjoy finding additional healthy ingredients to throw in it. Right now I am doing strawberry powder, tropical frozen fruit blend, and kale when I have it. I can add a serving of wheat grass powder to my smoothie and get the benefits of eating 3 servings of spinach.

Pines has been producing wheat grass since 1976. Their wheat grass is grown in Kansas in rich soil. The powder comes in a 10 oz bottle, which contains 80 servings. It will last about a month with the recommended 2-3 servings a day. A serving size is 1 rounded teaspoon. Their wheat grass is certified organic.

PINES Wheat Grass Powder

By consuming Pines Wheat Grass Powder you are adding more green vegetables to your diet everyday. You can mix the powder with juice or add it to a smoothie. You can even get creative and sprinkle it on your salad, pasta, pizza, etc.  I tried the wheat grass for the first time by adding it to apple juice. The flavor was bearable but not the tastiest.

I prefer adding the powder to my smoothie. I am used to drinking green smoothies, so I liked the way the wheat grass tasted in my smoothie. I think this is a great way to add extra veggies to your breakfast. I have not tried adding it to anything other than drinks, but I am going to try sprinkling it on random foods. I am satisfied with just adding it to my smoothie every morning since I eat a good amount of veggies every day.

You can buy Pines Wheat Grass Powder for $32.50 for a 1 month supply.

Excellent idea. I’ve actually used whole wheat grass in smoothies before, but your way is certainly more nutrient-dense. Thanks for sharing.
