Juice Beauty Review and Sponsor Spotlight #GreenMoms

As you know, I love finding new companies that use organic ingredients in their products!  For one company in particular, their name alone peeks my interest: Juice Beauty! Juice Beauty uses an organic juice base in all of their products and their products are proven to reduce wrinkles and sunspots. They know that what people put on their skin is important and they strive to keep the best ingredients in all their products. Did you know that your skin absorbs 64% of what you place on it?

At Juice Beauty our mission is to bring skincare with the highest percentage of certified organic ingredients to customers worldwide. To that end, we have come up with a unique formulation method, our certified organic juice base. We have just been awarded our first patent on our formulation methods for our bestselling Green Apple Peel.

Clinically Validated
Age-Defying & Blemish Clearing Results showing an 85% reduction in free radical skin damage.
Authentically Organic

Antioxidant rich juice base brings our total organic content up to 98%.

Powerful Action Without
Parabens, petroleum, pesticides, propylene or butylene glycols, phthalates, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, GMO, silicones, artificial dyes or fragrances.

Juice Beauty has ECO VALUES including Product, Environmental and Community.  Some of these values include clinically validated results, certified organic ingredients, and no use of parabens, petroleum, or phthalates, or synthetic dyes and fragrance oils. Juice Beauty only uses organic and natural essential oils to scent their products. Juice Beauty is committed to buying local. They are located in Northern California and buy their organic green apples from Washington State and their organic pomegranates from California’s central valley. They use sustainably sourced and recycled paper and soy ink in their packaging, making it recyclable! Juice Beauty uses solar power to manufacture a majority of their products and they never test on animals. Juice Beauty donate to The Organic Center that supports organic research and USDA certified organic farmers. They also donate a percentage of all profits to the San Francisco Breast Cancer Fund; The Organic Center, Teens Turning Green; and Conservation International.

I was given the opportunity to try out three of Juice Beauty’s products: Stem Cellular Repair Eye Treatment, Green Apple Firming Body Moisturizer and Reflecting Gloss!

I am only 27, but I think about wrinkles and fine lines on my face. For as long as I can remember, I have been very strict with my nightly routine! I never go to bed without washing my face or brushing my teeth, even if it’s a late night! I have been using eye cream for the last year and was excited to try out the Stem Cellular Repair Eye Treatment (valued at $45) from Juice Beauty. The treatment is applied with the attached applicator, making it very easy and convenient to use! You just pump up the cream and use the tip to apply it around the eyes to increase circulation. The Treatment improves dehydration, improves dark circles and puffiness, reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and luminosity and improves elasticity of the skin! I have enjoyed trying out this product and I love how soft it makes my skin feel. I am using this product as prevention, not correction, so I do not see a noticeable difference.

The Green Apple Firming Body Moisturizer (valued at $18) is meant for all skin types and can be applied to the whole body. I love the way it smells, fruity and sweet! I don’t always moisturize my whole body, just me legs and arms sometimes. I am encouraged to use this on my whole body because I know that my skin is dry due to the weather here in Beaumont!

I was super excited to try out the Reflecting Gloss in Champagne (valued at $15)! I was a lip gloss girl all throughout high school and college. Once I started dating my husband, I ended up wearing gloss less ofter……….. Anyways, as time went on, I started wearing it less and less. Once I had kids it became a non-existent amenity!! Recently, I tried putting some gloss on, but I couldn’t stand the smell/taste of it! Needless to say, I don’t ever wear lip gloss! When I tried the Reflecting Gloss from Juice Beauty, I fell in love again! It smelled sweet but didn’t have the chemical taste that other lip glosses possess! The Lip Gloss is made with sesame seed oil to heal and a combination of antioxidant-rich berries, minerals and sweet agave to nourish lips.

Overall, I love my Juice Be
auty products and I am so glad to have found a company that is committed to making earth friendly products that are good for your skin! Their prices are reasonable too! I love that these products are made with an organic juice base, it’s the way nature was intended to be used!

Tropical Traditions Giveaway April 30 – May 6 #SuperEvents

I’m so excited to bring you another Super Event Giveaway! This week is all about Tropical Traditions and their amazing Coconut products! Hosted by Full Price? Never! with contributing bloggers CuzinLogic and MyCraftyLife.

About Tropical Traditions: Tropical Traditions has a long history of cultivating superior coconut oil. Founders Brian W. Shilhavy, BA, MA and Marianita Jader Shilhavy, BS, CND actually farmed it themselves in the Philippines which lead to their understanding of the health qualities of coconuts. Once back in the states they recognized a need to find quality coconut products and they filled it! Maybe their most famous product, Coconut Oil is the first thing that people think of when it comes to Coconut products, but Tropical Traditions offers so much more! From organic food to skin care items!
Learn More About Tropical Traditions: Website, , , , , , newsletter.

Personal Review: Heather from Full Price? Never! had the pleasure of reviewing some TROPICAL TRADITIONS products. Here are her thoughts: “I’ve always loved coconut, but I’d only really ever experienced it in desserts {sad but true}. Who knew that there were so many products that could be made out of coconuts… and that they would be good, really good. We immediately made a bunny rabbit cake and used the coconut chips as the fur. How could we not? Then I sat down and watched Tropical Traditions YouTube channel to get some inspiration. Did you know they have video’s of their using their products {don’t watch this hungry, they look so good}. Since I was still learning about how to use everything I watched the video that showed {you can see a list here too}. I really was interested in the Organic Virgin Coconut Teeth Cleaners. I’m very sensitive to the taste of toothpaste… it’s my least favorite thing to do so I was thrilled to use Tropical Traditions! The taste was very mild and left my teeth feeling clean and my breath feeling fresh! My next project will be to make brownies using the Organic Coconut Flour with the recipe on the package. Yum! Tropical Traditions get’s two thumbs up from me!” Come Check out all the great products by clicking here.

Nature Certified Review and Sponsor Spotlight #GreenMoms

There are so many companies now that create beauty products that claim to be natural and organic but in reality still use harmful chemicals (these are hidden facts)! The truth is that harmful chemicals are harmful no matter what ingredients are added to them!!! It’s nice to find a company that produces what they claim and have all their products USDA certified organic! Nature Certified is one of those companies! For those wondering how a product can get the “USDA Organic” seal, the product myst contain at least 95% organic ingredients and the remaining 5% are allowed within the National Organic Program. To learn more about being certified organic visit HERE!

Nature Certified is more than a brand: it is a philosophy grounded in the belief that nature knows best. We started as an organic skin care company for babies and children three years ago (2009). Today we cater to all skin stages; from baby skin, young skin, and aging skin. We are founded on a basic principal, only natural and organic – no compromises.

Nature Certified uses certified organic ingredients, the same ingredients that will be found in USDA organic food. Their products contain no synthetic preservatives, only vitamin E or the honey suckle flower. They strive to use products that have been used for centuries as natural remedies. For example, Rooibos was used by the Bushman in South Africa, Coconut Oil has been used in Asian countries for centuries and Turmeric is commonly used in India. They also donate 5% of their profits to support children’s rights and their quality of life.

The Founder of Nature Certified, Arushi Sood Joshi, became a first time mom three years ago and realized that there were no skin care products that were “good enough” for her to use on her newborn. Arushi was born and brought up in India and she concocted many natural skin care remedies throughout her childhood and youth with ingredients like yogurt, oils, aloe vera and more. She knew that starting a skincare line would not be a simple task. She had worked in large multinationals and consumer business companies for most of her career, which helped her get her company started. It took 2 years to get Nature Certified on the market! When their products were tested, they found that they were safe for baby, which meant that they were also safe for people of all ages!

I was given the opportunity to review their Organic Grapeseed Oil, Organic Tangerine Lip Balm, and their All Natural Feminine Wash! The Organic Grapeseed Oil is USDA Organic and is mild, unscented and non-greasy! It can be used for massage and as well as a moisturizer. It also has anti-aging properties and is chalk full of antioxidants! The ingredients are simple: grapeseed oil (made from organic grapes) and vitamin E (which is derived from non-genetically modified soybeans). You can also put a few drops of oil in the bath or even place the oil around the eyes and lips to reduce wrinkles and the appearance of puffiness! I used the Grapeseed Oil as a moisturizer and I loved the way it felt on my skin! I plan on using it around my eyes as well!

The Tangerine Organic Lip Balm is USDA certified and smells delicious enough to eat!!! The ingredients are Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Beeswax, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Tangerine Oil, Organic Lemon Oil, and Organic Cranberry Seed Oil.  I absolutely love this lip balm! It is very moisturizing and smells amazing! I put it on my daughter the other day and she he said that it smelled yummy!

Lastly I received the All Natural Feminine Wash which is a PH balanced foaming wash! It is meant for feminine areas as well as the face and the body. It contains natural lavender and ylang-ylang, lemon and lime oils, which creates a wonderful scent! I have never used a PH balanced product before and it really does feel refreshing and leaves a clean feeling! For the list of ingredients go here.

You can purchase Nature Certified items on (search for “Nature Certified”) or on their website! Arushi would like to extend an offer to you! Use code NCFAMILY for 20% off your order.  She says “We need the support of people like you who care for natural, organic, and green. For way too long, too many skincare companies has been formulating and selling the cheapest, most synthetic, and potentially harmful skincare. Only if we stick to our beliefs, can we change that. Thanks again, and we are so excited to have you introduced to our brand.”

Overall, I enjoyed using every single product from Nature Certified! Their products are truly made with quality ingredients and I can tell that by the way they feel on my skin. I love that they are certified organic, as well as have a strong desire to spread the word about the importance of using organic products on the skin…what nature was intended for!

BuyGreen Wine Punts Review and Sponsor Spotlight #GreenMoms

Are you looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift? is the one stop shop for all your eco-friendly products! BuyGreen has developed standards for accepting “green” products into their store. Their green standards are placed on every product they review and rated on their environmental impact. The four areas they look at are Source Materials, Manufacturing, Usage, and Disposal! They refer to these as the product Lifecycle.

Our Mission & Vision
Our mission at BuyGreen is to become your most trusted source for green products, offering the widest variety of quality products, the best information for consumers, and the most enjoyable shopping experience. We believe that the power to make change rests with the individual consumer.  The products you buy every day make a difference.  Eco-friendly products are healthier for you and better for the planet.  In addition, when a large group of consumers choose to “buy green”, the market will respond with greater variety, more innovation and lower prices for green products and services.

BuyGreen is dedicated to developing a sustainable business all the way around! Their products are not the only thing that are “green”.  Through their daily practices from shipping to office supplies, they look for ways to reduce waste, conserve energy and minimize use of resources. Even after that, BuyGreen purchases carbon offsets to reach their goal of a zero waste footprint. BuyGreen is approved by Co-Op American and gives 1 % of their sales back to the environmental cause through One Percent for the Planet. They also support various environmental and social causes in the US!

I was given the opportunity to review the 12 oz. Green Wine Punts Drinking Glasses! The Wine Punts come in 5 different colors (Amber, Aqua, Clear, Green and Olive) and two different sizes (12 and 16 oz.). So what exactly is a Wine Punt? A recycled wine bottle that is turned into a drinking glass. The “punt” of the bottle is the indentation at the base of the bottle, which is how the glasses got their name! The glasses have a fire polished rim which gives it a smooth rim and the process reduces cracking and chipping. The glasses are also annealed, which means that they are slowly cooled to relieve internal stresses, giving the glass more durability.

– Where do all the wine bottles come from? Most wine bottles come from restaurants. These restaurants are looking for a way to help the environment.
 – Are there any hazardous by-products from making wine punts? Absolutely not
 – Can the glasses be placed in a refrigerator / freezer? Yes
 – Are the glasses dishwasher safe? Yes
 – How durable are the glasses? Wine Punts drinking glasses are extremely durable. Restaurant owners have stated they hold up better than any manufactured glasses.
 – Is the entire bottle recycled? Yes

Buy Wine Punts on BuyGreen today! Each set comes with 4 glasses. A set of 12 oz glasses are $22 and a set of 16 oz. glasses are $26.

Overall, I love my Wine Punts Drinking Glasses! I love the color and how durable they are! I want to get the matching set in 16 oz. I also like the other colors, especially the olive and the aqua…or maybe I want them all!!! I especially liked that they weren’t identical…the glasses were different on the bottom, coming from different companies! If you love the look of wine bottles or just love the ways these look you will not be disappointed!
