Green Kids Crafts ~ Earth Friendly Subscription Service {Review}

My kids enjoy doing crafts. They both have their specialties: my daughter loves to paint and my son like to color and do activity books. My kids also go to a play based preschool so they bring home artwork all the time. One thing I hate about crafts is the waste.

Ways to reduce waste when making crafts:

Use recycled products

Reuse computer paper

Upcycle waste and packaging

I was sent a Discovery Box for my 3 & 4 year old. They were so excited to see the package was addressed to them.  The Ocean themed box came with three crafts: Coral Reef Postcards, Sailboat, and Pin the Tail on the Whale.

My kids started with the Sailboat. My daughter chose to decorate the sail and my son chose the boat. It turned out very colorful! They colored the pieces with Oil Pastels. I love that everything is included in the kits.

Next they got messy with the paint and bubbles while creating Coral Reef Postcards. I had to help my kids blow the bubble paint because they kept sucking it up through the straw!!! My kids are on the younger side, so I think other kids would be able to handle the straws in the paint! They had fun getting messy and playing with paint.

Lastly, we played Pin the Tail on the Whale. I had to cut everything out since my kids are young. They had a great time playing though!

It would be great to get a monthly subscription to Green Kids Crafts. My kids would love to have something sent to them every month, ready to go! There are times when they want to do a craft and I have to get everything ready, by the time I get everything ready, they have moved onto something else. I also appreciate that everything in their box is recycled, upcycled and reclaimed materials.
