Inspire Young Minds to Learn French with Music

Are you trying to teach your child a new language? Whistlefritz is here to help you! My husband is in the process of learning French, so I thought it would be good for the kids to learn. My kids are 4 & 5 and I think one of the best ways to immerse my kids in the language would be through kids songs that they can sing along with.

I was sent Cha, Cha, Cha which is a 15-song collection from Whistlefritz the award-winning producers of language immersion CDs and DVDs for children. There are some traditional songs as well as songs about numbers, the days of the week, the months, and the seasons. The songs are performed by acclaimed singer Lynn Véronneau and set to Latin and Caribbean rhythms by versatile bandleader and composer Didier Prossaird.

When I first turned the music on, my son said, “What is this?” He was frustrated that he didn’t understand the words, so I had to explain to him that it was in French and that he would be able to learn French based on the songs. My 5 year old was stubborn and insisted that he didn’t know any of the words so I told him to just listen. A little later he said, “They are counting in French!” I knew he would catch on pretty quickly. My kids like listening to the music and I look forward to them being able to sing along and know what they are singing.
