Product was given to me in order to post my honest opinion.

I started my period while in 6th grade, so I have had many years to get used to my cycle. For the longest time, I preferred pads to tampons. I didn’t like that I could feel the tampon. Now that I am choosing to live a natural lifestyle, the feminine hygiene products I choose are natural as well.

Traditional tampons are made with bleached cotton and synthetics, including rayon and polypropylene. Tampons can also contain pesticides, artificial fragrances, dyes, and chlorine. These are definitely not things I want to put inside of me. These ingredients are also found in pads and all other feminine hygiene products.

Veeda Tampons

Now that I know what is commonly found in feminine hygiene products, I choose to look for natural alternatives. Veeda tampons are made with 100% cotton and are free of pesticides and dioxins. These tampons are biodegradable and will even decompose in a landfill. Veeda also offers a line of applicator free tampons for less waste.

Veeda Natural Tampons

I was sent three boxes of Veeda Tampons with applicators in Regular, Super, and Super Plus. My cycle varies so I can use all three varieties. My period normally starts and out strong for a couple of days, then dwindles down over the next three to four days.

I found that the Super Plus are great for the first day and at night, while the regular and super work well the rest of the time. Since I normally just wear pads, I was afraid that I was going to leave the tampon in and forget about it. But once I got in the rhythm of using tampons, I found it was easy to remember to take them out. I don’t feel these tampons once they are inserted, so I know I am doing it right. They offer me the protection I need in every way possible.

Veeda chose to use natural instead of organic cotton because there is a limited supply of organic cotton and by using natural cotton, the tampons are more affordable. Veeda wants their products to be available to all women who want a natural alternative to chemical laden hygiene products. By using conventional tampons that are full of chemicals, women expose themselves to dioxins that disrupt their hormones and reproductive systems.

There are many things to consider when you are choosing your feminine hygiene products. Consider Veeda next time you go to the store. You can buy them on their online store, on , or at your local retailer. The tampons with applicators are $5.97 a box and the applicator free ones are $5.50 a box. Veeda is currently working on Lite Tampons, Pads, and Liners. They offer free shipping on their products.
