My kids love playing games as a family. Some nights we sit down and play a card game like Go Fish or Uno, but on nights we have more time, we will play a board game or a more complex game. I am also starting to look for games that my kids can play with each other, just in case they need something to do while I am busy.

Larsen Toy Lab has created a line of children’s stories, games and puzzles that are personally engraved. They also offer wooden building block sets. Everything is made in America. They specialize in wooden blocks and have created a variety of games that uses the blocks as pieces in the game. The best thing about the blocks is that they inspire creative play and imagination, while the games are educational.

Block Party from Larsen Toy Lab ~ a 3-in-1 Wooden Block Game for the Whole Family

Block Party is a 3-in-1 game pack focused around using the building blocks as the ‘game pieces’. There are three unique games within Block Party and each game is challenging, yet fun! The set comes with 41 blocks and two canvas bags to keep everything organized. The three games are:

Pair Up – a modern twist on a classic memory and matching game

from on .

Ten Towers – teaches shape recognition and building skills

from on .

Strike Out – a dice game that favors balance and a steady hand

from on .

The wooden blocks are beautiful made. They are soft and I love that there is a variety of color. I chose to get our last name engraved so that my children wouldn’t fight over whose game it was. The engraving is a nice bonus to the well put together game. My kids love playing this and they enjoy building with the blocks. This 3-in-1 game has provided hours of entertainment for my family. My kids have even figured out how to play the games by themselves.

The company is run by a brother and sister who were inspired by their childhood memories of their dad making wooden blocks. The company began with a Kickstarter campaign in December of 2012. They received the funds they needed to launch their company. Their products are proudly made in the USA with wood from sustainable forested trees in Vermont. Larsen Toy Lab has been featured in both Natural Child World and Earnshaw’s magazines, and more recently was involved with Martha Stewart’s American Made project. Lastly, I want to point out that Larsen Toy Lab is committed to sustainable business practices = business goals + social & environmental goals. They believe that quality toys that are made to last are the way to do business.

You can purchase a Larsen Toy Lab game or puzzle online. The Block Party is $78, and there is a wide variety of games and sets of blocks to choose from.
