Avishi Organics Intensive Repair Oil ~ Natural Way to Reduce the Appearance of Stretch Marks & Scars {Review/Sponsor Spotlight} #CrazyChristmas

My babies are now three and four years old! I am glad my kids are growing up, but my body still shows the marks of pregnancy! With my first born, I didn’t even get stretch marks until the last month. I only had a few when I delivered, but was upset when they started to appear in the following weeks as my belly started to return to “normal”. Within 5 months I was pregnant again and my belly never fully healed. With my second pregnancy, the stretch marks that I had, continued to spread over the next 9 months! Years later, those stretch marks have yet to disappear. I have tried creams and lotions, but after using them for weeks, I saw no difference and gave up.

So here I am today, stretch marks and all. When the opportunity came for a chance to review Avishi Organics, I jumped at the chance because I hadn’t tried anything in a while. I was curious to see if their Intensive Repair Oil would work better than the creams and lotions I had tried in the past. I didn’t know if I would like rubbing oil on my tummy everyday…

Well…I actually love using the oil! I prefer to do it at night, but since it is a part of my routine I do it every night! I really love the way the oil feels on my skin. I rub it on my tummy and hips. I have been using the oil for the last couple of months and I have seen a decrease in the appearance of dark lines. The oil also smells really good and feels soothing on my skin. The oil can also be used on scars or as a massage oil!

So what exactly is Avishi Organics and Intensive Repair Oil? Avishi is a Sanskrit word that means “from nature”. Avishi was started by a mother to be who was in search of skincare products that were free of chemicals and safe to use. She decided to start formulating her own products that would work well and work fast while being 100% natural! You can read the ingredients HERE ~ just a bunch of oils mixed together!

Our Mission

We believe that healthy skin for mamas and babies can be achieved without the use of harmful chemicals found in typical skincare products. And we believe that natural formulations can be potent, effective and results-driven. Purity matters, but so do results. That is why our products are made from 100% natural ingredients that are renowned for their therapeutic and regenerative powers for skin that is radiant and glowing with good-health.

The Intensive Repair Oil activates skin renewal to minimize the appearance of existing stretch marks and scars, as well as reduce the possibility of new marks forming during pregnancy. Avishi Organics formula contains no synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulfate, or other harmful additives/chemicals. The formula is concentrated with essential fatty acids and not watered down with unnecessary fillers. It is rich in vitamins, tocopherols and other antioxidants, nourishing, healing, anti-inflammatory and skin-cell regenerating, and made from pure botanical extracts and oils. Avishi also pledges to donate 1% of their profits to The Andora Project which helps Haiti’s child protection policies.

I would recommend Avishi to any pregnant woman or to anyone that has existing stretch marks and is looking for the right product to help them. I will continue to use the repair oil until it is gone. If I ever get pregnant again I will definitely be purchasing this to keep stretch marks at bay.

You can purchase the Intensive Repair Oil on Avishi Organic’s website. The repair oil is $38.50 and should last you a month. It is recommended that you use the oil twice a day and that you should see results in 8-10 weeks.

Barleans Kids Omega-3 Swirl Supplement {Review/Sponsor Spotlight} #GreenSchool

My kids are starting school this week! I am excited that they get to go to preschool, especially a play based preschool! I am doing all that I can in order to make sure that my kids are prepared for school. We have routines set in place for bedtime and mornings that will help our kids get plenty of sleep and give them plenty of time to eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. Included in this routine is vitamins and supplements.

I met up with Barleans at the NPA Marketplace in Las Vegas in June. This company produces omega-3 fatty acids supplements in organic oil form. This family company once started as a fishery and eventually turned into what it is today, although they still sell fish to locals. To read about the History of Barleans go HERE. It is very interesting and you will see why most of their products are made from flax.

Over a hundred and fifty years ago wild game, fish, eggs and whole grains were sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. Today the milling of grain removes the fatty acids. Other essential nutrients are added back into flour except the fatty acids because they reduce the shelf life of the flour. Laying hens, even the ones advertised as “free range,” have no access to Omega-3 fatty acids in their diet. Eggs now provide little Omega-3. Essential Omega-3 fats are missing from the food chain and Americans are paying a steep price for this in poor health.

http://www.barleans.com/images/products/KidsOmegaSwirl_lg.jpgI was given the Omega Kids Swirl in Lemonade flavor. It has a smoothie texture and consistency. One 8 oz. bottle contains 43 servings! My kids absolute love this! I give them each a teaspoon at a time and they never let me forget to give it to them. This is an Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplement. Omega-3 supports healthy brain and visual development and is made with Barlean’s Fresh Catch Fish Oil, which is a sustainable operation. It provides 360 mgs of EPA/DHA per serving. (To be honest, I haven’t tried it, but my kids love it! It doesn’t smell fishy either!)

I think it is important to realize that most kids are not getting enough omega-3 fatty acids in their diet. Omega-3 is really important to developing children and adults. It supports brain health and cognitive function, affects attention span and intelligence and promotes eye health through visual acuity. There are also studies that show that omega-3s give the ability to handle stress and promote calmness.

I want my children to succeed in life. I want to make sure that they are getting all the nutrients they need to promote growth physically and mentally. I don’t care if my kids are “smart” with straight A’s, but it does take a functioning mind (and body) to change the world and be a positive influence. I will continue using Barleans to make sure that my kids are not deficient in omega-3. I will also continue to look into vitamins and supplements that will keep my children healthy and fully functioning! (I believe that vitamins and supplements should be used with a balanced diet. Do not replace fruits and veggies with vitamins, rather let them supplement the deficiency.)

You can buy Barleans online on their website and they are available at many health food stores! I saw them in my local health food store the other day in the refrigerated section. The Omega Kids Swirl is $13.99 online.

So Natural…It’s Made for Baby & Used by Mom Too ~ Nature Certified

I worked with Nature Certified earlier this year and enjoyed using their certified organic products. Nature Certified uses organic ingredients, the same ingredients that will be found in USDA organic food. Their products contain no synthetic preservatives, only vitamin E or the honey suckle flower. They strive to use products that have been used for centuries as natural remedies. For example, Rooibos was used by the Bushman in South Africa, Coconut Oil has been used in Asian countries for centuries and Turmeric is commonly used in India. They also donate 5% of their profits to support children’s rights and their quality of life.

Moksa Organics ~ Fair Trade and Organic Bath & Body Products

Product was given to me in order to post my honest opinion.

Melanie & Haskell Martin founded moksa organics with a “clean revolution” in mind. A Revolution that combines their deep love for nature, a love for activism, and a desire to be a part of a world that offers peace and well being for all species. moksa organics operates as a small business doing great things. Social Entrepreneurship is the heart of their Revolution.
Based in Gainesville, Fl, Melanie & Haskell produce and manufacture by hand thousands of their organic bar soaps, body butters and bath products each month. They use 100% certified organic ingredients, as well as sustainably sourced, fair trade ingredients whenever possible. Every purchase means, a designated dollar amount is contributed to organizations that work to promote social justice, environmental preservation & activism, educational workshops, & conservation of habitat and endangered species.

I have been a customer of Moksa for over a year now and I love their Organic line of soap bars, body oils, and body butter. I first heard about Moksa through a daily deal site for natural and organic products. I was a little hesitant to purchase the deal because it was a preset offer of two soaps and a body oil. I don’t think my soap love affair had officially started yet, but I was intrigued by the companies use of organic materials. I was hesitant because of the body oil.
