As a family, we support our health by eating Paleo. We eat only organic, and absolutely no processed foods. We grow our own spinach, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, cooking herbs, and more. We also preserve as much as we can when things are in season to have during the year so we aren’t buying out of season stuff from who knows where during the year.

We love the arnocare gel on bumps, bruised and arthritis here!

We eat healthy, get outside in the sunshine and fresh air daily for as long as we can and are carfree in our city so we walk and bike for everything pretty much :)

We support our health naturally by eating a plant based diet and avoiding processed foods.

We are eating more organic products and not buying processed. Do a lot of shopping at Trader Joe’s where there is a larger variety to choose from.

It’s actually a huge challenge to support my health. I was born 4 months premature and mildly disabled, many years ago. Since my body was not prepared for the outside world I have always struggled with chronic illness-mostly sinus and ear infections every month. The disability causes pain, but it’s manageable. The worst struggle has been during the past three years. I was misdiagnosed with a rare nerve disorder that feels like my right ear is constantly being stabbed two years ago. The brain surgery I underwent was a failure- I later learned the neurosurgeon had no idea what he was doing. I’ve traveled 2000 miles away for another surgery, only to be told that the diagnosis was incorrect. As a result I am still in wretched, constant pain, and don’t know what nerve is damaged.
It is an immense struggle to be a good wife, mama, blogger, freelancer, or simply a happy, healthy person when in constant pain and ill each month. Since the conventional methods for healing my body have not worked I have turned to natural remedies- primarily things I can make or or do myself since my family and I are extremely poor.
I have been studying essential oils for a couple years now, which helps slightly. I plan on studying medicinal herbs as soon as my pain lessens somewhat- likely after a fourth surgery. I learn about herbal supplements for nerve pain and try each one with my fingers crossed! I try to mediate and eat healthy, but honestly I don’t stick to this as I should. It helps to have my two amazing daughters- I want to cook them healthy meals and show them how to live well even if poor and pained.
I hug my family as many times as possible each day and have learned to keep my anxiety and fear over my health problems to myself or to the rare alone time my husband and I have. I make my own remedies, cook vegetarian meals and healthy treats from scratch whenever I have a slightly less awful day, and hope for a day when I don’t hurt so very badly.
Goodness- sorry for the novel! This is a subject have thought a lot about, as the conventional methods of care make my symptoms worse.

I take Vitamin C daily, if I think a cold is coming on, I take cinnamon and honey. I try to use essential oils for ailments (still learning). I have used arnica for bruising.
