Honey Bee Holistics was created by Melissa Carr, who wanted to be a stay at home mom! She decided to start her business before she had kids in order to start a business that would allow her to be a stay at home mom. Everything I sell is handmade by me and is made with wild-harvested herbs or herbs that I grow on site here on our shared farmland in the valleys of the Cascade Mountains. I will never use any chemicals or preservatives, EVER! Only pure ingredients that are safe for my family and yours! If I wouldn’t use it, I won’t sell it! I previously reviewed the Organic Marshmallow Honey Face Cream and loved it! I was sent an organic deodorant to review this time! The Organic Extra Strength Anti-Bacterial Deodorant is made with *Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, *Tapioca Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, *Local Beeswax, *Essential Oils: Peppermint, Tea Tree, Wormwood, Thyme, Rosemary, Benzoin, Balsam, Savory Cinnamon, Clove, Lavender, Sage, Camphor, Juniper, Oregano, and Pine, and *Unrefined Cocoa Butter {*Organic}. The deodorant has a strong tea tree scent to me, but I am not sure what all the other essential oils smell like, so maybe the scent may smell like something else to you. The deodorant is creamy, so it took me a while to get used to applying it. The one I used previously was a solid gel. The creamy deodorant can be applied with less pressure, otherwise the deodorant will spill over onto the applicator and make a mess. When I used it the first couple times, I had to use my finger to wipe the side of the applicator and manually put it on or added it back on top of the deodorant. {I have used creamy deodorants that you apply with your fingers before, so this didn’t bother me!} After using this deodorant for a while, I am now an expert applier!

The first time I used the deodorant, I went on an 8 mile bike ride. Normally I put on my other natural deodorant and smell by the time I get home. I was super impressed that my armpits actually smelled fresh when I got back to the house. They didn’t smell like tea tree anymore, but I was excited that I didn’t stink. I felt like that was the ultimate test. I have been wearing the deodorant for a week now and I think it is amazing. I also live in California, where the weather has been in the 100′s so I think this natural deodorant really works! The scent lasts for a while, but the fact that my armpits do not stink is the best aspect of all!
