This week I am happy to bring you another review and giveaway from Wildwood SoapWorks! Wildwood SoapWorks is a great company dedicated to using certified organic and plant based ingredients, as well as pure essential oils. For those of you that are hearing about Wildwood SoapWorks for the first time, you are in for a treat! For those that have been around for a while, you know how much I love this company and ALL their products!

If you know me (or have been following my blog for a while) you know that I have a not-so-secret love for handmade soap bars…I have a whole drawer full in my bathroom. I absolutely love the variety of scents and textures that are available! Wildwood SoapWorks offers a variety of products including soap bars, lotion bars, balms, bath teas, insect deterrents, and pet products.

Lime in the Coconut is another amazing soap offered by Wildwood SoapWorks. The soap smells like lime (essential oil), not coconut. The coconut milk does not produce a coconut scent, rather it makes the soap creamy and moisturizing. The soap is made with Saponified organic oils of: extra virgin olive*, coconut*, palm fruit*, high oleic sunflower*, cocoa butter*, castor bean*, and jojoba*; coconut milk, ground parsley puree, calendula petals and a proprietary blend of therapeutic grade essential oils (*ingredients are certified organic). One thing I want to point out, something that I have learned since working with Wildwood SoapWorks, is that not all scents are available in essential oils. This means that not all fruits or flowers, etc. can create the oil. For example, there is no coconut essential oil, so if you have something with a coconut scent it is a fragrance oil (coconut oil is very real, but does not have that all-so-familiar “coconut” smell). There is a BIG difference between fragrance and essential oils! Fragrance oils are synthetic and contain chemicals, where as essential oils are unaltered pure oil. If you have never thought about this, I encourage you to look into the difference. Any product that has a label of “fragrance” contains fragrance oils.

This bar is absolutely beautiful and it smells amazing. I love the way that citrus products smell. As soon as I got this bar it went straight into the shower. This bar is meant for both men and women so I thought my husband would like it because it doesn’t have a flowery or sweet scent. Well my husband loved the soap soooo much, that I decided to let him use it solely! I put in a second bar of soap for myself! While I was using it I did notice that the soap was very moisturizing and left my skin feeling clean and fresh. My husband really liked the soap because it was easy to lather and didn’t leave any residue on his skin. He also appreciated that it was easy to use…even with the petals on top, it did not make the application difficult. My husband likes using bar soap, so I am not saying that this bar converted him…I know some people like their liquid soap, but I think that anyone can appreciate a product that is well made and at least give it a chance. If you think you are a liquid soap kind of person, I challenge you to try out a Wildwood SoapWork bar soap! Better yet, just compare the ingredients of the soap you are currently using to any soap on Wildwood SoapWorks website. I think that alone will speak volumes!

Bar soaps are $9.95 for one, or 5-9 bars for $8.95 each, or 10+ $7.95 each. Also, Wildwood SoapWorks is currently offering free shipping on any order over $25. With Father’s Day coming up, surprise your dad/husband with this bar of soap or any soap bar from their website. Dad might like the Kahve, Orange Clove, or Cedarwood just to name a few.

Connect with Wildwood SoapWorks on their website, Facebook and Twitter.
